About Valeria Ferreira

Valeria A Ferreira (DO  MSc Ost  PGCAP) was born in Brazil and has been a resident in London for the past 28 years. She is an enthusiastic and committed lecturer at the BSO and practicing osteopath in the City of London.

Valeria completed her Osteopathic training at The College of Osteopaths (2000) and the MSc in Osteopathy (2006) at the ESO, where she conducted a research project investigating the effectiveness of Osteopathic treatment on patients with Endometriosis.

Valeria is an associated fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), who teaches at the BSO, leading the 4th year Visceral Osteopathic module. She was also a member of the final year technique team between 2009 – 2017.

Valeria delivers various CPD courses in Osteopathic integration in the UK, Europe and Brazil, exploring the application of the structural, fascial, visceral and cranial approaches and techniques.  She runs a very successful practice in the City of London, where she has worked for the last 19 years and in Lewisham (SE London).

In 2014, Valeria became the founder and director of  “COBRA” (Brazilian Osteopathic Centre for Research and Advanced Techniques), while promoting the 1st Osteopathic Research conference in São Paulo (ICAOR10) and actively working as a member of the Brazilian Osteopathic committee for the Rio Olympic Games during its initial phase.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

As the course takes place on a Sunday there is free parking available onsite at Hendon.  When you reach the barriers for the carpark just tell them you are there for College of Osteopaths.

What’s the refund policy?

If you are unable to attend you must let us know 30 days prior to the event for a refund to be given.  A refund for the cost of the course can be given with 30 days notice and may not include the booking fees.

If you need to cancel within 30 days of the course date please get in touch with us as soon as possible but we cannot guarantee a refund will be given.  You may, however,  be able to transfer your booking to a colleague.  If the event is sold out we will operate a waiting list and we may be able to assist you in finding someone to take your place.

Is lunch or refreshment included?

No, lunch and refreshments are not included.  Please bring your own packed lunch, snacks and refreshments.  There are some facilities nearby where lunch can be purchased.  Campus kiosks may be open but as the course takes place on a Sunday this cannot be guaranteed.

 

Course Cancellation Policy

The College of Osteopaths reserves the right to cancel the course should there be insufficient interest to make the course viable or in the event of unforeseen circumstances which may affect the venue or the speaker / lecturer.

In this instance your course fee will be refunded.

The event is sold out can I join a waiting list?

Yes you can, if you are unable to get a place on the course please email us on cpd@collegeofosteopaths and we will operate a waiting list for the course.
